Globalization and the People Without Identity

An examination of culture and the role of education and media in youth identity construction. Drawing on Paulo Freire's critical consciousness and Paul Gilroy's theories of diasporic belonging, this work argues that formal education systems fail to address the cultural needs of youth navigating globalized, post-colonial realities.
